Baldur’s Gate 3 Final Patch Adds Cross-Play, Photo Mode, and New Subclasses
Cross-Play and Cross-Progression
Players across PC, Mac, Xbox, and PS5 can now enjoy full cross-play support. Whether hosting or joining games, you can adventure seamlessly with friends on any platform. Cross-progression is also supported via Larian accounts. Make sure all players install the same mods for a smooth experience.
Photo Mode
Capture your party’s best moments with the brand-new Photo Mode. Players can adjust camera angles, poses, facial expressions, filters, frames, and even use over 300 stickers. You can activate it with F9 on PC or by clicking the Photo Mode icon on the HUD.
12 New Subclasses
Each class gets a fresh new subclass, adding more ways to play and roleplay:
- Barbarian – Path of the Giant
- Bard – College of Glamour
- Cleric – Death Domain
- Druid – Circle of Stars
- Fighter – Arcane Archer
- Monk – Way of the Drunken Master
- Paladin – Oath of the Crown
- Ranger – Swarmkeeper
- Rogue – Swashbuckler
- Sorcerer – Shadow Magic
- Warlock – Hexblade
- Wizard – Bladesinging
Each comes with new abilities, animations, and unique flavor—like playing a lightning-powered hammer thrower or a tipsy martial artist.
Steam Trading Cards
Baldur’s Gate 3 now supports Steam Trading Cards! Players can collect cards, craft badges, and unlock exclusive profile rewards on Steam.
Modding Improvements
The Baldur’s Gate 3 Toolkit received an update to support partial level editing and improved UI functionality for mod authors. Curated mods can now reach consoles too, although some (like new playable races) remain PC-only.
Bug Fixes & Optimizations
Patch 8 delivers a huge list of bug fixes, from gameplay and quest flow to performance and UI polish. Expect smoother cinematics, better multiplayer stability, fewer crashes, and fixes for dozens of long-standing issues.
