On Crosswatch cross-play are grouped by variations, and you can play together ONLY between platforms in the same variation:

Apex Legends is a popular free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was initially released in February 2019 for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One, and later for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. One of its notable features is cross-platform play, allowing players on different platforms to compete and team up. In the game, players form squads and select from a variety of pre-designed characters known as "Legends," each with unique abilities.
