Description
Destiny 2 is a free-to-play first-person shooter developed by Bungie, initially launched as a paid game in 2017. It supports crossplay across various platforms. The game transitioned to a free-to-play model in 2019 under the title New Light, expanding to Stadia, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2020. Activision published it until Bungie acquired the rights in 2018. Set in a mythic science fiction world, Destiny 2 offers a shared-world multiplayer experience with both PvE and PvP gameplay. Players, known as Guardians, defend humanity using the power of Light against alien threats and the Darkness. The game receives expansion packs to enhance the story and gameplay, with free-to-play access to some content, while additional expansions and seasonal passes require purchase.
