Description
Overwatch 2 is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2022. It serves as a sequel and replacement to the original Overwatch, a popular hero shooter released in 2016. While Overwatch 2 initially had plans for cooperative gameplay modes, these were scrapped in 2023, refocusing the game on its player-versus-player (PvP) elements. In a significant change, team sizes were reduced from six to five players per team. The game features a roster of 35 unique characters, each categorized into damage, support, or tank classes, each with their own set of abilities. Overwatch 2 emphasizes PvP combat across various modes and maps, including both casual and ranked competitive matches. A notable addition to the gameplay is the "Push" mode, where teams compete to control a robot that pushes a payload to the opponent's side of the map.
